‘Jerusalem’ by Irish College Choir

I thought I would share a clip of our College Choir singing ‘Jerusalem.’ We are pictured outside the Basilica of St. John Lateran in San Giovanni, Rome. The words of the chant are ‘Jerusalem, Jerusalem, convertere ad Dominum Deum tuum’ (‘Jerusalem, Jerusalem, turn back to the Lord your God’). They can be applied to the whole world. God wants us to turn to Him in love and it is never too late. The musical setting is by Fr. Heinrich Bewerunge, a German Priest who was professor of Church Music at St Patrick’s College, Maynooth in the late 1800s to early 1900s.
